  • Hilda a survivor through and through. The guests who come through Our House all have stories.  Hilda Corney, a resident from Tenterfield has certainly top the list of remarkable stories that have come through the doors of Our House. Our House is the purpose built accommodation for patients coming to Lismore for medial treatment. Hilda, who has been a guest at Our House for 5 weeks, is a survivor. She is presently surviving breast cancer, but her spirit of survival began in her remarkable childhood. To read more click here.


  • Sanctuary Village Residents in Lennox Head have been busy putting their Christmas decoration away from their Spectacular display over Christmas. Each year the residents don Christmas cheer and decorate their homes and raise funds for local charities. Over the past years, the 84 houses in the village have ‘lit up’ to raise funds for many local charities. Over $12,000 has been raised for these charities including the Ballina Hospital Auxiliary, Biala, Rural Fire Brigade, Lismore Lennox Surf Club and more recently Our House.


  • Our House has just celebrated the 2000th guest, Brian Wenham. Brian has a wonderful story of his cancer jouney. To read more click here.


  • At the recent Lismore Workers Golf Fishing Club Day which is held annually in memory of Tom Sommerville, the funds raised on the day were donated to Our House to assist those guests who are unable to finance their stay. Huge thanks to the Lismore Fishing Club Golfers for their ongoing support. Each the annual Golf day raises $2,000.


  • Australian author William Dodson is kindly donating proceeds from the sale of his new best seller The Sharp End to help Our House. Purchase a copy on Amazon via the link shown.


  • The 2014 Dry July Campaign has recently ended with Our House being one of the recipients. Over 200 people completed the month of July with no alcohol to raise $30,000 for Our House. These funds will go to providing an all-weather covering for the outdoor BBQ Area which is part of the communal area and is used frequently by guests as well as the community who come and serve dinner at our weekly BBQ nights.


Northern Rivers Community Cancer Foundation is a Not for Profit organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status its aim is to improve the quality of service to patients and families acquiring medical care.
